Code Like a Girl - can you help?

Code Like a Girl is an Australian organisation that aims to inspire more women to pursue careers in coding and get involved in the creation and development of technology. Through designing and hosting tech-focused events and workshops we bring together local talents and girls, from various education and career backgrounds, who are curious or passionate about coding and technology to learn, connect and celebrate each other's achievements.

Code Like a Girl in Adelaide is looking forward to exciting times ahead, but they need your help - working out what the women of Adelaide want to learn, and accessing networks, for workshop series.

  • Can you connect Code Like a Girl with women in tech who could be interested in running coding workshops (paid)?
  • Can you connect Code Like a Girl to any networks of women who would be interested in attending coding workshops?
  • Are you interested in learning coding skills at a workshop? Any languages or applications in particular?

Please get in touch with Sarah via email - sarah@codelikeagirl.com.au to connect with Code Like a Girl.

Early Bird tickets on sale for YWCA Adelaide SHE Leads Conference

The SHE Leads Conference continues to be South Australia’s premier women’s leadership conference, and is a full day of inspiration and invigoration aimed at defining and debating women’s leadership and empowering the next generation of female leaders. The theme for this year’s SHE Leads Conference is Learning from Difference to Harvest the Collective”. This full day event will feature a range of keynote speakers, panels and break-out sessions.

All leadership opportunities look, feel and are different, depending upon who it is that is looking at the opportunity. They are different due to people’s lived experiences, race, culture, age, gender, beliefs and accessibility (physical and locality). How does this impact leadership? Does it allow leadership to flourish, flounder, change, develop? The 2018 Conference will explore the differences that people bring to leadership and how we can collectively harvest this difference to support women in understanding, embracing and developing their leadership capabilities.

Learn more and book your early bird tickets on the YWCA Adelaide website.
